Asians, those fish didn't make it far.  Worst I've seen is drydock in the shipyards. Elizabeth river in Portsmouth or lower James. Neither sanitary hotspots. Yardbirds were down there with 5 gallon buckets picking up all the spot and croaker they could. I'd bleach myself if I fell in, thinking I'd never eat there.

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

Lots of folks making comments were worried  about all the fish poop chemicals - totally overlooking the fact that those clever Asians threw in some talapia along with the other species.

Talapia are like catfish except they have not been (as) exposed to Kepone, dioxins, PCBs and the other good stuff we used to dump in the rivers around here.  All that stuff has now (supposedly) settled to the bottom and is (supposedly) covered by natural sediment deposits.

stay safe.

I remember riding the train by a site on quantico that abutted the river. The guys on the bulldozers had to wear suits as they scraped away the PCB contaminated soils. And it had been draining into the Potomac for decades

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Sounds to me like they're going to substitute one environmental disaster for another is all.

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

So every time the little branch behind our house dried out during the summer, we could have had a bunch of evironmentalists come in and save the minnows and pearch.

I guess since it will be a while before the building is demolished so the mosquitos will have the pond to themselves again for a while.  Also, does anyone really think they are going to get rid of ALL the fish?
