I like that the reporters consistently referred to him positively, as a good samaritan.

That's definitely the best part of this news story. Other than the happy ending, of course.

Yes, but they also referred to him several times as a city worker. I wonder if a sales associate from Home Depot would have been treated as kindly.

I'm guessing that if he was not off the clock and he cannot prove he did not have the handgun in his vehicle while it was parked at work he is going to get skrood, hero or no hero.
