Dear parent of patient
« on: April 21, 2015, 08:17:01 PM »
Dear young single mom of patient:

You called my call center to ask about the status of a referral made by one of my providers who saw your child.  You happened to mention to the call center that you were going out on a date with that provider.  I do not know if this is correct or not.  This provider is working here as  a locum, so I called the agency and ended the contract early.

You probably did not know that dating the parent of a patient is defined as sexual misconduct on the part of the provider, and I am obligated to report this to the state disciplinary agency.  I sure hope that you were not lying about this since a shitstorm is about to happen with the provider's license.

Please always remember that once I find out about this sort of thing, I have to do something about it.

When I was working the rez in Montana we had a locums come over from Spokane to work a while. He didn't last very long and kept his love life on the DL. A week or so after he left one of our docs ran into him in Spokane with one of the few attractive Indian princesses on his arm. She was very well known to us, which most drug seekers over there were. She carried on to our doc how she had moved in and was essentially expecting to play house forever. I wonder if she was just using him for his DEA number. ;)

When he tried to come back he was less than politely turned down. His princess came back to the rez about a year later strung out worse than before. WA state was notified of his apparent misconduct.

Is that similar to a gay social worker chicken hawking a disturbed 19 year old client? Hooking him up with housing and all the trimmings so they could play?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

No.  At least not in Virginia.

What you describe (actually allude to) is abuse of a incapacitated person while in a caretaker role. http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+63.2-1605

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!
