It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

I've seen video of him before. He was quite the showman with a pretty neat talent to showcase.

I did notice the reinforcement patches on his shirt. I wonder how long it took him to decide he needed those?

Munden is a TRUE cowboy who will never be outshined!

Bob Munden was very, VERY fast -- but not in a way that any cowboy would ever have used a six gun. He also had a huge ego and a very abrasive personality.

If you want to look into a man who was also a fast gun, but not in the extremely artificial way Bob Munden was, check out Joe Bowman. And Joe Bowman wasn't a raging egotist. I met him briefly at the last SHOT Show held in Orlando, in (I think) 2009. He was a genuinely nice man. And, if I remember correctly, earned three bronze stars and a purple heart in WW2. He was the real deal.

Fast? Of course. I've always been annoyed by the .2 second number though. That's when he starts to move and his hands are already indexed to where the gun is. Compare that to a truer test which i consider to be reaction to a timer. I've shot a bunch around people like Todd Jarrett and Rob Leatham. If they get really on it they are hitting .5 second 1st shot times on a close target. I've had a few sub second ones from a Blade-tech kydex and I don't want to try to get much faster. And the target better be close because i'm not looking.

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

At 2:55, he fires at two targets, set up between him and the cameraman, then does it again at 3:28.

He was good, but didn't give a rip about safety, I guess.

He earlier stated that he was shooting blanks, plenty of crap out of a blank at those ranges to pop a balloon. And don't have to be quite as precise with your aim.
But yeah, our concepts of what "safe" means has evolved some in the last 30 years.
But even with blanks I wouldn't want to be the camera man.
