Joe Bonamassa
« on: July 06, 2015, 08:35:00 PM »
I've been posting little snarky comments on Facebook about Joe Bonamassa. I'm only doing it because I know a couple of his fans here also post about him on Facebook.

Not knocking him. Just tweaking your noses.

He's a pretty darn good blues player, though I am admittedly unfamiliar with much of his work.

Technically brilliant, but I don't get his "voice" the way I do other guitarists who move me when I hear them play, e.g. Clapton, the Three Kings, SRV, Mark Knopfler, Santana, Hendrix, et al.

Really.  I'd never heard of him until I saw some folks sharing stuff about him on FB.

I run around with a Jazz guitarist who loves the blues, so I get to listen to all sorts of artists that I wouldn't have normally listened to.
