You can make voids and unsupported parts easier.
3D printing was already better at this, but there were shapes that required some minimal supports or struts be printed to hold things up until the print was done, then you trimmed or sanded them away.
Now, assuming it's a "color" printer that can switch on the fly, one of the melting plastic filaments is water soluble and you just wash it off when done.
Some of the multi part plastic semi-disposable printed guns, you could now print them in one piece, and just wash it to free up the moving parts.
