Wow. That video is not actually what the recall is about. I'm going to guess (not ever having been inside a 24/7) that there's some kind of sear spring in that gun either installed incorrectly or broken. Most Tauri don't do that.
The recall is about if you try hard enough, you can engage the safety in such a way that you can still fire the gun. Basically if you half pull the trigger, in DA mode, you can engage the safety with the trigger behind it. Then if you pull the trigger, the gun will fire. There are a few contortions needed to end up with a gun in DA mode, with a live round in the chamber. But it can be done.
My Aunt has a PT145, loves it, and isn't willing to ship it to Taurus over this because she doesn't want to risk not getting it back. [shakes head]

Ayep. I divested myself of the Tauri I was silly enough to buy years ago. Never going back. Not because of recalls, but just no real attention to detail in manufacture.
