So to pay for this show Amazon needs to only add 10 million new Prime members? Seems very doable.

If they do it right, and leverage a significant chunk of Top Gear's audience, this could make Amazon to streaming digital entertainment what Microsoft is to OS's.

Agreed. I think Netflix has had the lead in original content, but I don't think any streaming service has anything like Top Gear. Amazon moving into that genre could let them leap ahead.
