Didn't renew my FFL 03 a couple of months ago when it expired
« on: September 11, 2015, 10:45:44 PM »
There haven't been any C&R firearms that I've been interested in on the market for several years.  I kept my bound book (even tho' not required to).

I'm starting to see C&R firearms showing up again.  Any reason not to renew my expired license?  Can I even renew an expired license?

If for nothing other than the discounts it can be worth it.   Plus, you are one more thorn in the BATFE-EIO's side. =D

Not really anymore. I let mine go last December. I hadn't been finding any deals (at least that were easy to bring into CA) in the last few years. I think the last purchase I made was my Garand from CMP 4-5 years ago. I was keeping the C&R for the dealer discounts, but over the last few years most of the good places seem to have all been dropping the C&R discount and/or advertising deals that were just as good but didn't require the license.
