^ Now that is cool!

Square root of pi is 1.772.  Either B to C or A to D scales.

Lay the cursor on the teeny-tiny mark for pi, and see for yourself.

Actual value 1.7724538509055160272981674833411 according to the Win calculator.  Using control + I blew the screen up quite a bit and started to notice little "hops" in sliding the scales and cursor around.

So the Navy thinks that they better now how to navigate should the OPFOR be able to hack/otherwise disable the electronics on ships, while at the same time packing more electronics then ever into same ships (i.e. missles over guns).

I think they are more worried about somebody disabling the satellites used for GPS.

I don't even think I can read an E6B anymore without reading glasses, and I think I'd need a 4X magnifier to read the one on the watch I got as a gift when I soloed.

And then they'll turn around and hold on to antiques for no particular reason. In 1985 I was still working on equipment with vacuum tubes.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Didn't the Russians hang on to vacuum tubes in navigational and communications equipment for quite a while?   I understood that that was why audiophiles and guitarists could still get vacuum tubes... from the Russians.
