New Bergdahl Narrative

So now, rather than walking away to "report" on his superiors, he says he decided to change his plan to gathering intel on the Taliban. Walking away was too much for you to handle, so you decided to become an operator instead? Yeah, that should fly.

But after making his decision to walk away, he soon realized he was in over his head, and changed his plan to one of gathering intel on the Taliban, he said, likening himself film action hero Jason Bourne.

I liked the part where he self-identified as Jason Bourne.
I think he's more like the recurring Red Rascal character in the Doonesbury comic strips . . .

Front and center in the Bergdahl rehabilitation movement is the just-started second season of Serial, a podcast by criminal groupies Sarah Koenig and Julie Snyder that selects one criminal per season with the objective of getting the criminal out. The series is an NPR spinoff and is at least partly taxpayer funded through NPR. The first season featured convicted murderer Adnan Masud Syed, who has been convicted of strangling his former girlfriend, student Hae Min Lee, in 1999. The current season explores Bergdahl’s betrayal from Bergdahl’s (and Koenig’s) point of view.

It would appear they are trying the "Spaghetti defense"  Throwing everything against the wall to see what will stick.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Only false narrative I want out of that guy is the one where he is the guy from New York City in a Pace salsa commercial.
AKA Navy Joe

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.
