Eugene Volokh op-ed piece in The Washington Post
« on: December 17, 2015, 12:57:07 AM »
(article starts with a photo from you-know-who)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/12/16/why-are-gun-rights-supporters-worried-about-bans-on-so-called-assault-weapons-bans/

Not much to add, except Volokh is spot-on about gun-grabbers wanting to ban "assault weapons" largely for the precedent it sets.  "We banned X, so now let's ban Y and Z as well."  He also makes a good point about the dangers of the "We've got to do something!" mentality.

Not sure how the WaPo editors allowed such a well-reasoned article to be published.  They must be slipping.

I for one support the total and permanent ban of all assault weapons bans. [ar15] [popcorn]

I heard Tom Gresham was starting to do editorials for the Washington Times.

The WaPo has been hosting his blog for quite some time.
