Discovered a cure for the cold

I'm suffering from a nasty cold,  sinuses in complete revolt, sore throat, the works. 

Enter the hot toddy.  How have I missed this?

One big mug
2oz spiced rum
spoonful of honey
1/4 lemon
12 hour generic sudafed tablet
hot water to fill, then stir

Not a true "cure",  but it makes being sick a hell of a lot more fun.

Crap, you're right, I missed that. :)

And it does work well.  I make mine with tea and whiskey.

I've read, and believe, that it works by soothing the throat (lemon and honey, quieting cough (booze), and opening sinuses (hot liquids).

No worries.

I just hope it gets me a night of sleep.  Past two have sucked. How this is going,  I'm going to skip from these to just doing shots.  Anything for sleep.

My recipe:

Hot tea (not that green or herbal crap)
Irish Whiskey (to taste)
Honey (to taste)
Lemon (to taste)

Repeat until cured or you just don't give a *expletive deleted*it.

I do that, except any whiskey (except for the expensive stuff) is fine for me, and I replace lemon with orange.
