That feeling...

...when you find out that the long, springy wire thing in the bowels of your dryer is not some critical, unobtainable part, badly misshapen. It's just a piece of lady's undergarment.

Why would you have a lady's undergarment?
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

Sometimes it is beneficial to decide before asking a question, if one really wants to know the answer to said question.

"Besides, them soft cotton dresses feel kind of nice. There's a whole air flow."
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

It was the girl. The girl did it.

I think it is more noteworthy that Fistful requires the support of an underwire.

That's one of those things I really didn't want to think about.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

"Morning rebar?"

Somehow the engineering implications of that reminded me of Howard Hughes designing a bra for Jane Russell, so I poked around a bit and found this...

http://www.cnn.com/STYLE/9608/17/bras/

Quote
Modern styles emphasize curves and cleavage. Stoppard points to Jane Russell and, believe it or not, industrialist Howard Hughes, as early contributors to this style. Early cleavage enhancers included an inflatable bra that was blown up with a straw and plugged with a stopper.

And that reminded me of the Automatic Pilot scene in the movie "Airplane."

At that point I decided I'd better stop my research and clear my cookies.
