I used to prosecute child abuse cases. So many of the children were afraid of their abuser, in ways that didn't make sense to anyone thinking rationally...afraid the abuser would come get them while they slept, or attack on them right in the courtroom. There were a couple of male victims that t I made a point of showing them some of my old Army pictures to convince them I could keep them safe in court. One wouldn't relax until he saw my holstered handgun, then believed we could keep him safe in court. BACA does the same thing...just help the kids feel safe. Strings is our guy who does this work.
