Another attack on the LGBTUVWXYZ community
« on: June 28, 2016, 11:57:19 PM »
Survey finds that homosexuals suffer more health problems than the general population.

No word yet on how the NRA/Christians/Republicans are doing this to them.

Not really. The article spends plenty of time blaming "discrimination," and lack of "access" to marriage - shorthand for "mean Christian Republicans."

I like how they also claim that bisexuals suffer from a lack of acceptance from bisexuals. You can tell the journo really had his her their brain engaged.

LGBT and otherwise sexually confused folks,  having poor health issues, are most likely victims of a life style choice gone awry.

Am I allowed to feel sorry for them, or would that be a heteronormative micro-aggression?

Yes.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Pretty much this.  Biggest HIV transmission risk going.

Just remember that blood donation protocols that exclude a group simply because they are extremely high risk for the transmission of blood borne diseases is discriminatory.

You only have to get to the third paragraph to find the largest underlying issue:
Quote
...the survey revealed that lesbian, gay and bisexual adults "were more likely to report impaired physical and mental health, heavy alcohol consumption, and heavy cigarette use, potentially due to the stressors that (they) experience as a result of interpersonal and structural discrimination," researchers wrote online June 28 in JAMA Internal Medicine.

Emphasis mine.

help is on the way, as we speak.  Congress, in yet another  blatant attempt to secure votes from the sexually transmitted disease afflicted men of America, are going to bat, so to speak, for the RIGHT of gays to pollute the blood pool with their vile diseases.   :)

And if we needed an absolutely crystal clear example of why the GLBT community feels shunned by society and turns to legal drugs in higher numbers than the hetero population here we are.

That's actually a thing.  Not all bisexuals are the same.  Not all gays are the same.  Not all lesbians are the same.

And not all heterosexuals are the same.  I would assume based on your past history of posts that you aren't OK with heterosexuals engaging in polyamory, polygamy, casual group sex, or just picking up a new sex partner ever 3-4 days.  Just a guess.  Assuming I'm correct then you should be able to see how some bisexuals don't like other bisexual's behaviors.

Did you just spend a paragraph "explaining" that? Really? So do heterosexuals have more health problems than heterosexuals, due to a lack of acceptance from heterosexuals?

Sigh. I also think Mannlicher might have worded his comment more gently. Don't you think there would be less hostility to the LGB3EVER-EXPANDING-ACRONYM-SOCIETY, if the left wasn't busy (for at least the past decade) encouraging hatred toward people with traditional views on the subject? Well you didn't seem to understand it... so.. yeah. I did.

Nope.

 ;/

Here's what I was quoting, oh wise one.

Quote
Gonzales told Reuters Health that the health disparities are likely due to the stress of being a minority, which is likely exacerbated among bisexual people, who may not be accepted by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

So the health problems of bisexuals are the fault of anti-bi discrimination by homosexuals, transickles, and their fellow bisexuals, who are not accepting of bisexuals. Perhaps we need some law, a new Civil Rights Act, that would monitor the LGBTCANYOUBELIEVEWEGETTHEMTOUSETHESESTUPIDACRONYMS? community for discriminatory practices.

sounds like a stretch, but then for agenda driven minorities, it beats admitting that your problems are your own fault.  Always easier to shift the blame, and assign culpability to someone else.
