According to this, lesbian couples in New Jersey have been told by their health insurer that they are ineligible for fertility treatment benefits until they have demonstrated they cannot get pregnant naturally.

Cue massive outrage and lawsuit.

The women are arguing that they’re being discriminated against by New Jersey law because straight women who are infertile don’t have to pay for fertility treatments, while gay women who are infertile do.  Infertility in New Jersey is defined as the inability to impregnate another person, the inability to carry a pregnancy to live birth or the inability to conceive after one or two years of unprotected sex, depending on the woman’s age.  Because, you know, biology and stuff.

So basically, human biology is discriminatory against gay and lesbian couples,  you guys.  That’s essentially the problem here.  Two chicks can’t have a baby together without a dude, and so they want to be considered infertile as a result.  OF COURSE they are infertile without a dude. That’s BIOLOGY.
