Carson vs Obama
« on: March 07, 2017, 04:12:28 PM »
So Ben Carson is taking a bunch of heat for stating that Africans brought over as slaves were kinda sorta immigrants. If you actually read what he said in context, it's pretty easy to see where he was coming from and that he was in no way dismissing slavery. Nevertheless, he has been getting hammered by the progressives.

Well, guess who said basically the same thing first?

Quote
Certainly, it wasn't easy for those of African heritage who had not come here voluntarily and yet in their own way were immigrants themselves. There was discrimination and hardship and poverty. But, like you, they no doubt found inspiration in all those who had come before them. And they were able to muster faith that, here in America, they might build a better life and give their children something more.

It used to be said that "What goes around, comes around." That was when the free press was nominally non-partisan. Sadly, those days are long gone. The lamestream media will never admit that Barry said that before Ben.

Obama may have said it first but he is black not conservative so he meant it in a good way.

Ha ha. You'd almost think the RNC is planning this stuff. Here's Chavetz vs Obama:

People keep talking about Samuel Jackson's response to Carson's comment. That seems like a battle of wits Mr. Jackson won't win.

Also, Leslie Jones got all upset about what Carson said. This is the same woman who, as soon as she was on the cast of Saturday Night Live, immediately appeared on the Weekend Update fake news broadcast to give this very tasteful and sensitive commentary on slavery.

Whole lotta moral authority there.
