SCOTUS affirms Trump's immigration order
« on: June 05, 2017, 05:38:23 PM »
I read that today the SCOTUS in a 5-4 decision overturned lower courts and affirmed Trump as President has the authority to implement immigration orders.  I saw it on the internet somewhere.  Don't know if it's true or BS.  I would have thought, given that nearly every constitutional scholar has said about the President's authority regarding halting immigration, the decision would be 9-0.

I really don't think the Supreme Court has looked at the case yet, much less ruled on it.  So probably BS.  And the 5-4 part is just to rile people up on both sides of the issue.

Yah...it was BS.  I did a little digging.  It was from a satire site.  I just glanced at it this afternoon, but wondered.  Dang, I really always check *expletive deleted*it out usually.  I was just surprised.

Legally it is cut and dry. Clear authority. About like the cities being pandering simps over the Paris Accord. Since when do you negotiate treaties exactly? STFU and do city stuff.

But the SCOTUS isn't about the Constitution any more. It's about finding a way to justify the feelz. You can be certain the ancient harridan and the wise Latina would never vote for anything Trump did. Probably not the other little Obama appointee, whose name I can never remember.
