Barbara Bush Has Passed

Barbara Bush has passed away. I read this morning that last night she was "resting comfortably and enjoying a bourbon."

Classy lady. :)

Whatever you want to say about the Presidents Bush, both First Ladies handled that title with grace, decorum, and honor.

I met her once when I was a high school student and again as a college student. Despite not being particularly memorable (group awards and activities) she remembered me.  That dedication to youths and instilling the importance of the social niceties; like thank you cards, elevated us as individuals and a society.  I do think we are lessened by the loss.  She really set the standard.
