It's been here in Wisconsin for awhile now, I still have a freezer stocked with venison. If your deer looks healthy and you stick to eating the "normal" parts then it's not supposed to be an issue. There was a lot of controversy for awhile about whether baiting would make it spread faster, and that was all mixed in with longer lasting complaints about herd management and wolves. A lot of that seems to have died down now, the disease continues to spread, and I just keep cooking up my venison burgers.
