The worst thing about this to me is, that at least in the first video, and I assume the second, more dangerous video since it's in the same place, there is at least one cop nearby who does absolutely nothing. Why aren't the cops at least directing traffic while they are there if they won't help innocent people? That in itself would have helped things, versus letting antifa be traffic cops on top of being fascist bullies.

Also entertaining was watching a white guy cuss out another white guy for being a white guy.

A couple of CS canisters would fix that.

A couple of folks have pointed out that our society abdicates the use of force to professional Police so that we avoid mob rule. If they no longer wish to provide that service, then it's down to which mob is bigger, better armed and more bloodthirsty.

If this keeps up it's only a matter of time until one of these people gets him/herself lit up when they assault the wrong person.

Just an educated guess here- the cops were probably under orders from the city government to only arrest people who stand up to the socialist bullies.

Yes, I should have clarified that in the OP. I'm guessing a large part of the Portland PD (officers - I don't know about management) would like to clean house. I believe the mayor there gives them orders to not interfere with antifa.

Still, the mayor could have at least let them do traffic control, which would have eliminated a good portion of the threat without overly upsetting the little fascist darlings.

And given the current political climate in Portland, that person will likely be charged with manslaughter or murder 2.

They weren't chasing him when he stopped to pop open his mirrors. It was only when he stopped, that they saw him stop, and went running down the street. He needed to get further away to be clear....

I'm a couple of time zones east of Portland (Oregon), but it has come to where I expect this sort of nonsense. The shortest route for me to get to the Interstates to head either north or east from here is through the neighboring city. I stopped using that route about five years ago. In fact, maybe longer ago than that -- my wife died 4-1/2 years ago, and I used to worry about her going into the city to use the library. To get on the Interstates now, I take a slightly longer route that loops around to the south of downtown If I never have to go into downtown again, I'll be a happy man.
