An interesting article looking at CBD in general, and CBD in pediatric epilepsy in particular.  I am going to be really interested to see how the research develops.

You have to wade through a lot and I still didn't get to end of the story.  I noticed internet writers do that sometimes.  They have a long story of boring stuff so they come up with a personal story to weave into it to string you along to read the whole thing.  My little rant I guess. 

It will be interesting to see them do hard research on CBD oil.  That was recently made legal in Texas.

CBD became legal in my state not long ago. I see a few shops popping up. I'm really interested in it if it actually helps with migraines and arthritis.

An FYI to everyone:  Not all CBD oil is THC-free.  You can test positive for marijuana just by taking some brands of CBD oil. 

My airline recently sent an email out to everyone to inform them of the dangers of CBD oils.

I mentioned,  I think in politics, about this. Idaho is super anti-pot. Idaho state troopers a few months ago arrested some guy driving a truck load of the hemp used specifically for CBD, due to a trace amount of THC in it.

Slight tangent to the thread, but it might make an interesting "interfering with interstate commerce" case.

Haven't seen a final resolution yet but I can't see the Pawhuska law enforcement machine letting it go.

My wife has been on a chronic pain management program to deal with her back pain for several years (6-7 years) now. She would go in quarterly for injections in the back and she has had a prescription for opioid pain meds that she has had to go through an increasing number of hoops to get filled since the recent Opioids are evil campaign began. Our "insurance" has also gotten on the band wagon and started denying the treatments.
The last time she went in she had a discussion with the Dr and left with a prescription for CBD capsules. She seems to think they help so if it works for her then it's good by me.

I wish to hell we could get beyond the Reefer Madness hysteria and actually get some real no *expletive deleted*it scientific studies done on cannabis and THC and what ever other compounds are in the stuff and find out if there is really anything to it. My cynical side makes me very skeptical of all the POT IS A CURE FOR DEATH claims from the proponents as well as all the marijuana will make you eat your babies claims from the detractors.

Agree with RKL, some real research on pot, CBD, etc. would be very interesting to see.  And I agree, it's most likely not a cure-all miracle drug, and it probably ain't going to mess up everyone's mind either.

Same here. It doesn't help, for me, that the only CBD aficionado I know is the type that is skeptical of everything (except for all his favorite alt-medicine and conspiracy mumbo-jumbo). Plus that other guy, who's just a pot-head.
