I came across this on Ammoland. It looks like Dan Wesson is doing their version of the Hudson H9 type design. Putting a 1911 trigger and action with a CZ 75 grip and magazine. I looks like more of a 1911 slide, but I am not certain of that. It does appear the slide is more of a 1911 design with the slide rails on the outside. It looks very interesting, but seems to be more of a target/competition gun. 43 ounce weight and a $1799 MSRP.
I am a bit surprised it isn't already cut for optics.

It looks good, but it does need an optics mounting solution. Especially at that price.

"Full-size DWX pistols use a magazine based on the P-09/P-10 F, while compact variants use that of a 75 Compact."
I would be curious what the compact version looks like. If it is similar in size to the CZ 75 Compact, that would be very interesting. I have a bunch of mags for my CZ P01.

I am intrigued.
I LOVE my Dan Wesson 1911.
Sadly my Gun Money for this quarter is completely taken by a commemorative pistol my unit is in the process of producing.

Dan Wesson publicity video that doesn't give any more info.
I figure this pistol is going to be heavier like a CZ Shadow II. I have shot one of those and they are great shooters, but a bit heavy for anything but competition. I am more curious about the compact model and maybe future light weight models. I guess if the concept is successful, we might see more hybrids like this in the future. Looks like we will have to wait for 2020 for much more on this.

Looks great to me, CZ-75s are my favorite with 1911s coming in a close second.
I wish I had time for competition so I could justify buying one. Same problem I had with the Shadow line.
