Photo hosting?
« on: October 19, 2019, 05:44:27 PM »
Photobucket has become unbearable. And they killed off Tinypic. I just looked at another hosting site called Picturetrail, but their terms are convoluted and they require you to log in periodically -- which may or may not be an issue, depending on one's needs.

Are there any free photo hosting sites left that just work, without being intrusive or imposing draconian conditions?

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

I use imgbb. I think someone here recommended it. It works. It doesn't bother me with emails or ads. It works. Simple.

Flickr has continued to work trouble free for me for years now. Bonus: I get a throwaway yahoo email account out of it.

I use Flicker. Fairly not obnoxious.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Imgur is what I have been using lately.

Do their terms of service allow photos on their site to be displayed on forums such as this? (What Photobucket calls "third-party hosting.") The way I read it, it appears they don't allow that.

If you're on their desktop site, they have a link for posting on bulletin boards just like photobucket had. I can't find the option on their app though.

That is pretty much what I use it for.  Been using it for the last year or so.
