The Attacks on Jews in NY

I guess we haven't talked about it yet, but a few things I'm seeing:

1) Surprise! It's all Trump's fault.

2) Some politicians are calling for new domestic terrorism laws, essentially a "patriot act" for domestic terrorism, and I can't help but think their true goal is "white supremacism". On the other hand, one has to wonder how much of an effect "the squad" and others have had constantly barking their antisemitism.

3) I see (link below) that some Jews in the area have decided to protect themselves, apparently in violation of NY state laws. It will be interesting to see how NY state handles this.

Those appear to be more than 7 round magazines as well, which confuses me as they are in NY and New Yorkers all turned in their scary, evil, killy magazines.

If I'm being completely honest, I'm a little disappointed there wasn't a Tavor in the pic too.

And from what I saw, the perpetrator of one of the recent attacks was just set free on zero bail because of their new "no bail" rules. I guess the whole "hate crimes" thing didn't come into play there because it was the wrong mix of races and religions.

If I was Jewish or gay, I would be particularly sure to own a gun; sad that residents of New York City are in this situation.  Especially with the no-bail and quick release of suspects.

So the left has a good reason to hate the Jews while the right just hates them for no reason. So right = bad hate, left = good hate? Ooooookay

   To me, the difference between right and left anti-Semitism is that the right just straight up hates Jews while the left is critical of Jewish participation in the ruling class without critical analysis of how the long history Jewish marginalization complicates that participation.

Except for people like me who are indifferent?  I have only known one or two people who were Jewish.  I have heard violence has been increasing in NY and NJ.  I assume the Jewish population is higher up there.
