My favorite part is that he criticizes Vance for holding the leash in the middle, instead of holding on to the very end. I mean, you walk dogs for a living, and you've really never choked up on a leash?

The tacticool leash I use for Steve specifically has a second loop close in for "handler mode" or whatever you call it when mil/LE dogs are held close in. Most of the time I just loop a finger or two through that one when he's walking at heel, since he's finally mature enough he doesn't want to tug on the leash. Watching the video with Vance's dog, it looks like that dog is the same, as you can see how loosely the leash runs through Vance's hand.

This would be a good time for the RNC, though they won't do it, to run an ad comparing Vance's dog with Biden's dogs and focusing on the phrase, "There are no bad dogs, only bad owners". I still feel really bad for Biden's dogs. Poor guys.

We have some non-tacticool leashes and they have the second grip loop midway down the leash.  Really handy for walking a dog at heel.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

My dogs have a handle on their collars as well as two loops on the leash.

I also will sometimes hold the leash in the middle of the loops as they walk next to me, because they aren't going to take off in most circumstances.   Lefties, prepare to clutch your pearls: sometimes I just open the door on the truck, and then the front door to the house and say "Get in the truck" , and just toss the leashes in after them when I catch uo.

Now Vance is weird because he "doesn't walk his dog properly".

I often walk Steve barely holding his leash because he's not a moron. Sure, if something looks iffy, I'll get a better hold on the leash. Otherwise, "professional dog walkers" from NYC can *expletive deleted*ck right off with their "expertise".

That’s actually how our dog trainer told us to hold a leash.

All I know is, this country has really gone downhill since they stopped requiring politicians to demonstrate proficiency in dog-handling techniques.

I've decided that their overuse of "happy warrior" is weirder than them using "weird". It's obnoxious.

Not sure I've seen that one yet

May have seen it but I think in an act of survival my brain has started filtering out certain things

Sir, the Stupid Sensitive Ear Plugs you sold me are defective.  Every time I talk I can't hear anything.
