You looking for guarantees on performance?  Lotsa luck.

No, but the odds of getting a quality performance increase with experience.

Let me introduce you to my ex wife...

Very similar to your's fistful, except I drink the 1850 medium roast Pioneer Blend.  Drinking some right now with a little creamer.

There are a range of divergent opinions on this forum as to what constitutes good coffee,  so I figured we could post all of that here for posterity.  I'll go first.

There's a cheap drip coffee maker stashed in the basement.  It's too big for my normal rate of consumption.

I picked up a stainless insulated french press 3-4 years back, based on recommendations here.  I probably should have actually gotten the smallest size.

Usually I just work with the Melita cone filter thing.  Cheap, works.

Whatever coffee Dearest Wifey picks up for me.   Half & Half, and a dash of stevia.  Sometimes a bit of cinnamon.  Commonly a tiny bit of butter melted in and mixed up.

I witnessed a “proper” vs “as close to free as possible” conversation between two coworkers yesterday. The proper one happily pays the money for quality coffee beans and such and same for beer. The other one only drinks the free coffee at work and the cheapest beer possible at home. The latter did not understand at all the reasons of the first for quality it was definitely a “two different worlds” situation.

I’m in the middle of both camps. I’ll drink the cheap stuff but I like mid range for both. I think when my free Keurig finally dies I’ll try a French press and a grinder and buy decent beans from Fresh Market.

Glenmorangie original is strictly medicinal.  Just not something I'd reach for for the neti pot.

We're talkin' odds here, not certainties.  We'll add your ex-wife to the sample set.

Just started a French press recently. Now I want a burr grinder. Simplicity tastes great
