Aren't their producers and editors that actually decide that stuff?  I had assumed the faces were all picked for their "belivibility" and just parrot whatever is typed into the teleprompter.

I don't know, but when the face has not even seen what he's about to present, it leads one to think he's not the one choosing his content.
