A federal agent tried to shoot an innocent man. Will the Supreme Court allow accountability?

It’ll go nowhere. If the KGB had any accountability, they would lose their power of terror.

I'm kinda curious as to what would have happened if a passing CCWer had smoked the agent for clearly threatening someone w/o identifying themselves first.....

Sad to say but nowadays that could largely depend on their respective races.

Or a combination.

White fed / white civilian, civilian fries
White fed / black civilian, fed fries
Black fed / white civilian, civilian fries
Black fed / black civilian ???

Then of course throw gender and stuff in, and it gets to be a big list of possible combinations.

Yeah, that's is what I had in mind without going fully into detail.

Guaranteed that the CCWer fries in any case, and that is if he/she lives to see trial.

Is it just me or does it sound like something is being left out? They don't come out and say it, but hint that the ex-girlfiend was drunk when the accident putting her in the hospital happened. I'm guessing as they don't say anything about it, but it seems to me to be the case, the FBI agents significant other, child, parent etc were inured or killed?

I am not in any way saying what the FBI agent did is in any way acceptable. He should be charged with appropriate criminal statutes. Federal agents as well as State and often Local agents/officers/officials too often get away with acting outside the law or even just plain being corrupt.

I do think it hurts the credibility of the argument when they seem to be obviously leaving out part of the story, at least as it seems to read to me.

Some of these cases need to be tried in a state court ignoring the feds' claims of jurisdiction.  (because they want to dismiss the case like when Lon Horiuchi murdered Vicki Weaver) If a federal agent breaks a state law, it's none if the federal government's business -- that's a 10th Amendment issue.

Every once in a while, a constitutional crisis is a good thing.
