I've mentioned before, especially as related to  "OMG climate change!!!", how fascinating I find archeological sites like this. This cave is full of cave art. The entrance is currently 115 feet underwater. It's estimated that the entrance was 300 feet above sea level around 20,000 years ago.

That is cool.

I saw this yesterday.  I only related it to this because this is one of a number of things that could easily happen in the past.  A few years ago few would entertain it as likely.  I have seen one guy who thinks something like this caused the swift end to the last ice age (as opposed to others who say a bunch of comet fragments hit the ice).

Cavemen's automobiles were the cause.

Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

I have heard it said that back during the last ice age when there were 2 miles or more of ice over Canada and the Northern US.  The sea level was 300 to 400 meters lower than today due to all the water being locked up in ice.

This link says 125 meters which still makes a big difference in land mass in some areas of the world.

I think it was here that underwater archaeology from the ice age era came up here a couple of months ago.

There have been a number of underwater sites discovered in the Great Lakes and more than a few VERY famous ones in Europe.

Mentioning cyclical ice ages in any "discussion" with the global warming people usually draws a vehement denunciation, shouted insults, and a demand that you shut up.

Interesting how most of Siberia - Siberia! - seems glacier-free on that map.

Japan seems to be a peninsula, and a lot of islands in the western pacific seem to have become part of the mainland.
