Revenge of the Sith - Worst cast ever

Mr. Flory and I were chatting about how horrible we thought the acting was by the guy plaing Anikan in episode 2 and I wondered if anyone could do a worse job, and after realizing that they wanted to get Leonardo DiCaprio to play Anikan I realized that a worse cast is indeed possible.  Here's what we came up with

Macauly Culkin - Anikin Skywalker
Michael Jackson - The Emperor
Vanilla Ice - Obi-Wan
Snoop Dog - Yoda

What do you think?

I agree except for the Yoda part, I think Snoop would be a great Yoda.  Yeah I know he's a pothead rapper, but he's still awesome.

Funny thing is, the reveiws for Episode III mostly seem to think that Hayden Christiansen (aka Bitchy Teen Anakin in Episode II) is actually not bad in this movie.  In fact, the reviews pretty much all seem to say, "we hated I, were annoyed by II, and liked this one."  I'm *cautiously* optimistic about this one.

I saw the first one, skipped the second one because, really, who cares.  Now reading this, I think I am going to have to rent number 2 and watch this one at some point in time when I get a chance.  I was perfectly happy to not care about this.  Maybe watch it when it shows on FOX in 3 years or so, maybe not.  But now ..... I have a little more desire to see it.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog as Yoda

Paris Hilton as Padme

Larry King as Anakin.

(OK, I have rocketed off the sheer cliff of absurdity - it is time to go back to work now...)

Re: spoilers - the entire script is out on the 'Net and has been there for a while.  It is approximately what all would expect (although the movie itself promises to be worth a trip to the theatre - even in Hollywood, where I am going to have to see it...)

Apparently some of the scripts are crappier than the actual dialogue, being really old drafts or whatever.  At least one reviewer commented that, while not exactly high art, the actual movie dialogue was better than the leaked scripts they'd read.

At any rate, the actual plot isn't too hard to figure out...

The plot doesn't really change, suppsoedly they just cleaned up some of the dialogue so it sounded less like a 9th grader wrote it.

OK, Michael Jackson as Palpatine is bad, but he'd make a really funny Jar Jar Binks.

If you know where to look you can actually find a copy of the movie out there on the net ... its in 2 .avi files approx 280meg each.

I thought the guy they got to play Anakin sucked ... big time ... he sucks so bad he's considering leaving the movie business [insert cheer here] and becoming an architect ... good for him deciding to make an honest living

But overall Episode III is one of my favorites of the series (and light years better then Episodes I and II ... and not as sappy as Return of the Jedi).

I'd say its a solid third (with Episode IV and V being the best and second best respectively).

It would have been worth seeing in the theater at full price ... and was worth the long download time as well
