Anyone use Real Player for music on their PC?
« on: June 09, 2005, 11:22:59 AM »
I use it at work and it's always been one display with the control buttons and the top and the "library"--playlist, etc. below.  Suddenly yesterday these two where split.

Does anyone know how to join them again?

yeah dump that POS scumware app and start using something like www.winamp.com
try this when you need to play .ra files  http://free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm

The reason it changed on you is a good reason to dump it.   It means it updated itself without your knowledge (at least I'm assuming that)  Honestly though real player is a nasty piece of software. IMHO

Try moving them close together, they may just snap together when they get close.

I'm just checking in long enough to hop on the "RealPlayer Sucks" bandwagon.  For streaming radio, my first preference is iTunes, second is WinAmp.

or dump both WMP and RealPlayer and (even Quicktime) and go with MPlayer
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/news.html

You can get it to play just about anything ... of course setup is a little more difficult then the others (but what do you expect from a program originally written for Linux)

Man, what is it with computer geeks and anime porn (As shown on that link above, if you dig around)?

And question. One thing I really like about WMP is that it can shrink down to fit on the task bar, giving you control of all the controls without having to pull the whole screen up.  Can any other program do this?
