For all of you fellow beer drinkers, what is your favorite brew? I was going to post a poll, but there are too many choices.
My personal favorite is Geary's Pale Ale made in Portland, Me.

Basically anything from the Spoetzl Brewery in good ole Shiner, Texas.   In my opinion, nothing beats an ice cold Shiner Bock.

Yuengling Lager is by far the best I've had.  They only sell it in the northeast though.  Shiner Bock isn't bad either

Enjoying a Pabst Blue Ribbon in an aluminum can right now.

I've been drinking PBR since college days over thirty years ago. I also drank black coffee--and lots of it--at that time, and from brands like Folgers or Maxwell House.

It seems like the demand for designer beers started about the same time as the demand for frape's and lattee's or whatever they're trying to call coffee today.

If beer were meant for connoisseurs, they would have called it wine. Wink

I'm a fan of the Shiner as well.

The new Bud Select is pretty good also.

Most any of the traditional wheat beers that keep a little Brewer's yeast in the bottom of the bottle. Franziskaner is probably my favorite of the "mitt hefe" varieties.

Moneyleg, I like PBR as well, one of the better cheaper domestic brews.
Anyone a Sierra Nevada fan? Good stuff.
I also like British beers, Bass, Boddingtons, Double Diamond etc.

Another one for the "quotes" file.  Cool

Favorite? Red Seal Ale, from the North Coast Brewery in Ft. Bragg, Cal (not Ft. Bragg, NC).

Also India Pale Ales, several other hoppy beers, Guinness, Henry Weinhard's from the Blitz people, Rolling Rock, Beck's and Heineken, and, and, and... It's like asking, "what kind of meat do you like?"

But it's still worth asking, of course.     Wink

Summer-time it's Red Stripe, anytime it's Pilsner Urquell.

Guinness.  The nectar of the Gods.  Hofbrau is some pretty good stuff too, if you can find it.

Hoegaarden, cloudy, rich, flavoursome and the only beer I bother drinking these days. Beware my lightweight american chums, they serve it by the litre in europe and the first two or three you're fine, then litre four kicks in and you're examining the ceiling.  Recommended for those of you that indulge in winter sports that damage the posterior. Numbs everything.

Don't know if you can get it everywhere, but my favorite has been Ipswitch Ale, brewed a few miles form here.  Have to get it in the gallon glass jugs with plastic caps.

Naturally carbonated, yeast at the bottom, wonderful stuff.  Cheesy

Hmmm, beeer!
Too many to mention here and I'm not gonna select a favorite. They all, (most), have a place or a time. IPA's are good in the sunshine on a hot day, a cold Porter in the shade is enough to make a good day and a 'lite' goes a long way towards keeping my feet dancing with my wife.

I used to brew beer and one of the best I made was an apple ale. At first taste is was like licking road apples...'nasty' is too nice a word for it! I named it 'Road Apple Ale' and gave the majority of it to a buddy that wasn't too particular about what he drank. I kept 3 bottles on hand and forgot about them. About 6 years later I found them and decided to pop one for the hell of it. I about died! It was a GREAT beer! The smell mellowed out, the taste evened out and become more distinct and it got clearer with age. I re-read the recipe for it and discovered that I hadn't read the entire thing the first time around... apparently it was meant to be aged for YEARS before consuming! Someday when I feel froggy, I'll jump back on the homebrew wagon.

Best beer I can easily get my hands on a pack of: Guiness in the draught cans.
Maybe all-around favorite beer: Bitburger

But I had lots of even better beer in little places all over Germany, too many to keep track of.

Either Warsteiner pils or Old English 800, it depends what mood I am in.

just to drink beer?  PBR (in bottles if found), Old Millwaukee, Old Style, Point, Schmidts and Miller Lite.

When mood changes to snob mode? Blue Moon, St Paulie Girl, Shiner Bock, Guiness, Red Speckled Hen, Boddingtons, Dirty Dicks, Spotted Cow, Boulevard Wheat and Pale Ale and finally Bass.

Dos Equis, Tecate, Sierra Nevada, Guiness, Brahma (Brazilian), Rolling Rock, Keystone Ice (really!),  and more, but that's all I remember for now.

Draught - Guiness from the tap is unbeatable.
Bottled - Whitbread Ale if you can find it is super
Canned - I need the barf smilie.  No canned beer for me, life is too short.
