Glad to hear that it's working.

You still want to drain it every so often, depending on the type and hardness of your water.

Back before we got Lake Michigan water, I used to drain mine about 3 months, and the water would run red, lots of Iron in the well water around here.  We used to use Muratic Acid to clean the toilets because of the rust in the bowl and all the dishes and glasses had a red tinge to them.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Translation:  Buy the ball valve conversion kit(so the thing has an unobstructed path out when I turn the knob) and a six foot hose to the drain, and turn it on monthly...

Maybe get a clear hose so I can see status easier.
