Do NOT raise or lower a large flag in a high wind, unless you have assistance.   shocked  Especially not on a cold day. 


My boss put up a new Missouri flag at work (the old one needed retirement).  Unfortunately, being a typical Illinois type, he screwed up.  So, the flag was upside down for most of the morning.  I guess he thought the bears on our state flag are supposed to be standing on their heads.   cheesy  When I got to it, and switched it around, the wind was pretty fierce.  WOW!  I've never been to the ocean, so the concept of wind-powered sailing vessels never seemed all that real to me.  I think I get it now.   shocked
