"Go eat at a popeye's two or three times.  You'll never eat at a KFC again."

Think again.

Popeye's has the WORST tasting fried chicken I've ever had.

I'm not sure what they fry their "food" in, but I think it's related to either turpentine, used motor oil, or diesel fuel.

The ONLY decent thing at Popeye's is the red beans and rice.

I'm a Popeye's fan myself.  Better, crispier chicken and better fries.

I never eat KFC unless I am out of options.  I'll eat Church's first.

alright, if you want good biscuit, you go to Hardees not KFC.

second, Chic-fil-a is much tastier then KFC. one christmas, one of our regulars brought us platters from there (1 fruit and 1 chicken nuggets) and it was GOOD!

third, KFC is tasty for chicken (extra crispy, yum!) and some of their sides. but i draw the line at all food smashed in a bowl.

The man speaks truth.

If'n you want chicken on the bone, no place compares to Pollo Campero: http://www.campero.com/index_eng_flash.php

Best big chain for chicken on the bone is Popeyes.  KFC is some dog-nasty *expletive deleted*it.

Ok, let me rephrase that.

You rent KFC - if only for the few minutes it stays in your GI tract.

Seriously.  If I partake, I either stay there and get rid of it, or drive immediately home, fighting the cramps and "Dear Gawd, please let there be no traffic jams enroute home" moments so I can download and make horrible sounds in the comfort of my own privy.  I kid you not, it happens in mere minutes, and so far, it's just KFC that does it to me.  IMHO, there's either lots of extra lube fried into that chicken, or the Colonel's secret blend of 7 spices and herbs has a major laxative in it, and Harlan Sanders was laughing all the way to the grave knowing what it would do to some folks.   shocked

Popeye's fan here myself.

And thankfully I will be home by the end of the week and can pig out on all this food you are talking about on here lately.

How about just good ole fashioned pan fried chicken.

I have a pretty sensitive stomach...just about everything gets me feeling queasy and makes for an interesting bathroom trip but KFC has never done that to me...perhaps I've built up an immunity to it.

In high school, I used to run the chicken pressure cookers at Roy Rogers

It was a good recipe and a heck of a machine,
doing the oil drop and change was a "fun" task...

Oil change story... The regional manager was there on my shift, he was "helping" so we dump the oil into the filter bucket and he comes up with the idea of lifting the fryer elements and firing them up to burn the gunk off them. One goes up in flames. He takes the fill nozzle and tells me all you have to do is squirt the hot oil on the flames to put it out. I say, "Huh? Are you nuts?" He says,"No no, it's ok, turn the pump on." So I do. He is now holding and oily flamethrower in his hand. The fire is all the way back to the tip of the 1" nozzle. He says, "TURN IT OFF!! TURN IT OFF!!" I say, "WHAT?!? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!"  and give him a good extra few seconds before I nonchalantly reach over  and turn it back off.  grin

I've had so much fun here and there in my life.  laugh
