The li'l Stinson brings back memories. I learned to fly in dad's Cessna 140, comparable to the Stinson. Dad's was an 1950 A-model witht the single strut and had been upgraded with a 100 hp engine. It was one of an original 13 ordered for the Sunshine Oil company as a pipeline patroller (larger tanks and observation panels in the lower door).
If you ever see an A-model Cessna 140 patroller, tail number 5350C, that was it. I think it's running around the Amarillo area, or at least was for a while. Dad sold it to a guy in Amarillo who stripped it to the bones and completely restored it.
*edit to add* Looked it up. A guy in Flagstaff owns it now.
