Or tinning your tip and dropping a blob of molten solder on your lap.

Whatever.
I put my FACE on the stove one time.  While it was ON.
Beat that.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

There is a reason fire-breathers do not use Bacardi 151 as their fuel.

That reason is called "back-flash", and it has a certain educational quality to it.

That is all.

Seek out wisdom in books, rare manuscripts, and cryptic poems if you will, but seek it also in simple stones and fragile herbs and in the cries of wild birds. Listen to the song of the wind and the roar of water if you would discover magic, for it is here that the old secrets are still preserved.

The heat leaving you body is what is burning you.

The water freezing in the cells forms very shape pointy crystals that tear the cell walls, killing the cells. It's the same reason frozen veggies are limp and watery when you  thaw them out.

Actually, with the instant freezing of a freon burn, the cellular damage from ice crystals isn't nearly as bad.

If the freezing process is slow, such as with frost bite, the ice crystals get nasty long and jaggy and really do a number on cells.

The faster the freezing process, though, the smaller the ice crystals, fewer jagged pointy ice needles, and lots less cellular damage.

That's why flash frozen products, frozen at temperatures as low as -50 deg. F, have much better textures than products that are frozen in your home in your refrigerator's freezer.

Carbon Monoxide, sucking the life out of idiots, 'tards, and fools since man tamed fire.

We have Dust-Off fights at work.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.

Try flicking a couple ounce glob of molten aluminum dross out of the way with your welding rod and it landing in your lap. Smokin holes in your leg, that is all.

The dynamics of arms races being what they are, we quickly progressed to upside-down.

I remember a yardbird welder in Long Beach shipyards who was "scarfing" something or another above his head with his torch and I watched as a BIG glob of molten steel went right down the back of his collar. He had his leathers and clothes ripped off in like 5 seconds, I kid you not. Never seen anybody get naked that fast before or since.  shocked

Still he got a pretty nasty second degree burn out of it.
