Obama's family confirm he was raised Muslim. Guess they missed the talking points over there in Kenya. As with Slick Willie the point is less the act, more the denial.

Debating whether or not Obama is a secret Muslim is one of the more ridiculous things I've seen this election.  Besides being the stuff of tinfoil hattery, it is blatantly discriminatory-imagine an argument over whether or not GW was secretly a Jew and you will see where all of this is going.  It's all a part of proving a "secret conspiracy" of those pesky religious minorities to undo America and enslave us all at their jewelry shops and headscarf factories.

Note one problem in this article:

Obama's dad died in 1982.

Obama met Malik in 1985.....in America?  Oh yeah, tight those two.

This article is absurd-the "muslim dress" that isn't, the reference to Daniel Pipes, who is apparently authoritative on all matters of Islamic law when speaking ex-internet. 

How is it that in a modern country, superstition and rumor gain so much traction?  I thought high literacy rates meant this sort of stuff would be mitigated, but apparently all it means is that more people get fed the rumors via print.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

If Obama is a Muslim that feels the need to conceal it from everyone that tells me he's exactly the type of Muslim I can't trust.  The WoT will certainly be interesting with a Jihadi in the Oval office.

Obama's spokesman said last year that he "was not raised Muslim, and has never been Muslim". Now Obama's brother says differently. Who gains more from the lie? Obama.

I could care less what faith Obama was raised in, or what he practices now. It's a non issue for me.
Just as with Bill Clinton and the woman he "didn't have sex with", the issue that concerns me is the lie. Add that to the insanity spouting from the mouths of those he is close to, and I have serious concerns about his ability to perform the job for which he is applying. Quite aside from my convictions that he's a nutjob socialist from Chicago, who cut his political teeth in the Daley machine.

Funny, when it was Jim Gilmore in Virginia a couple of years ago who was speculated as being a closet Jew, it was fine for the liberals to use that to slam him.

Okay, that I can see. There is a difference between slips and bald-faced lies.

For instance, Obama's public stance on guns is a bald-faced lie. His true feelings slip out with things like the "cling to guns and religion" slip.

If he's okay with lying about core personal issues with a straight face just to placate people as to what they want to hear, that's a problem.

That's a good example: the Gilmore debate was equally wrong.

Anyway, there is no evidence that he's lying here.  Take a read of that article and then tell me that's credible....when it doesn't even allege that his brother knew him growing up.  All of the sources running this same line are of similarly obvious poor quality-it's amazing that anyone is taking the claim seriously at all.
