Not that I'm a fan of the National Enquirer, but here's someone who tells it like it is about Dan Rather:

I won't be watching Dan's last newscast or any of the tributes to him.

I'll be having my own Special tribute to Dan.  It involves pointing and laughing a lot.

Ummm, big difference between National Enquirer and National Review. I am a huge fan of National Review and William F. Buckley.

That being said, it's a great article.   And Danny Boy could have taken some lessons from Walker of the Enquire.   I won't be wasting any time lamenting Blather's departure from the evening news.

Chut1st,

The article appeared on National Review Online today.  However, the author being interviewed in the article writes for the National Enquirer.  I am a big fan and daily reader of the former and never read the latter.

Got it!  Somehow I missed the reference to the interviewee being a gossip columnist for the Enquirer the first time around.

Thanks!

Another example of someone who should have quit yrs ago. Never did care for his newscasts.

Isn't that the same Mike Walker that does a little bit on Howard Stern's show on Fridays?  Something about making up three fake stories and mixing in one real one and Howard and freinds try to guess the real one?

I think it is.

The TV was on CBS (Jeopardy! was on before) so we saw a little of the show while folding some laundry.  I made fun of him, my wife laughed and then we changed the channel.
