One of the amusing things about screen names is how they sound in one's mind when reading them.  At least for me anyway.  What I mean is that what someones screen names "sounds" like to me, doesn't necessarily "sound" like what it says.

Example:  wmenorr67 = wormenor  (No offense, William, it just sounds like that when I read it angel)

Any other of you'ens do the same thing?

dntsycnt:  was "dintsykint" until I figured out it's 'don't say can't' without vowels.  (At least I hope it's 'can't').

Never could figure out if it was Riley 'mick' or Riley 'emcee', so the Paddy thing was a welcome change.
If the bandersnatch seems even mildly frumious, best to shun it.  Really. http://www.cctplastics.com

When i was a kid, (1970s) I'd go out frogging and come home soaked, and my parents (uptight city folk) would do everything up to and including beatings to break me of my amphibian ways.

I recall removing my five-buckles on more than one occasion and dumping water out to eliminate the squish-squish-squish.

7-11 was a part time job.

Mine is a humorous "sounds like" moniker based on the bastardization of my real name as assigned to me by my friends. Results in a weird WTF that I like. Started using it a few years before arriving on APS's beachfront. Still struggling with an avatar to suit my exotic tastes.

One of my hobbies is woodorking...

How do you dork wood?  And how is sawdust made when one dorks wood?  Or do we really want to know?

Hmmmm...you may be confusing woodorking with woodboinking.  cheesy

Woodorking is just an old rec.woodworking (Usenet) term for the hobby.

Sounds like a screen name or email the .mil would give you.  I think of it as "women or 67."  No, that doesn't mean anything to me, either.

I'm bald. Really bald. I started losing my hair in my early 20's and it's been going ever since. I'm so bald I only have to shave my head once a week or so now.

For some reason a certain member is always "Man-ed-wolf" to me instead of "Maned Wolf" - or maybe it should be "manic wolf" Tongue

I wanted to change it quick and I wanted something memorable and bland, that didn't scream "chick on a guy-dominated board" bc that's just odd to me (no offense intended to Ladysmith, just not my style).
None taken. I've known some guys who claim the Ladysmith handle.
My choice of LadySmith, in the beginning, was because I was partial to S&W products.
It has now evolved to other meanings for me.
Now I find myself striving to embody more of the "Lady" in the name while retaining the functional "Smith" persona.
Despite its diminutive grip and feminine name, LadySmith is a weapon first and foremost. Always will be.

Charby is a shortened version of my last name, I've been called that since I was knee high to a grasshopper. First name is Christian and there were a ton of Chris's born in the early 1970's so by the time you were in gradeschool everyone named Chris had a nickname.

My first name, last initial. Known as Navy Joe everywhere else because I never was quite right enough to be Joe Navy.  laugh
AKA Navy Joe

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

seeker_two is a play on my actual name (with inspiration from a Calvin Klein fragrance) that I originally used when I did the Internet dating scene.....it's proved pretty handy since.....

....and don't knock Internet dating. When done right, you can meet some interesting people. That's how I met my wife....  grin

cause everyone named liz gets called lizard at some point. i finally just added a second z and made it mine.
blue is my favorite color and i like stars. at one point i designed what i had hope what would become my tattoo (which i never ended up getting) which is a blue tailed skink wrapped around a 5 point blue star.

my screen name has evolved from just lzrd### to bluestarlizzard. sometimes the e is missing, but yeah, as far as i know its me and i'm the only one.
