Digital video file editing/compression help needed.
« on: September 15, 2005, 10:02:03 AM »
I've got an AVI video file I recorded with my little P&S digi-cam.  I want to post the file for others to view/download, but it's over 70 MB in size.

Can anyone recommend a good utility to reduce or compress the video?  I'm Googling like mad, but haven't found much yet.

Thanks!

If you're running XP it has Windows movie maker , that will get you a .wmv file, compression is your choice , pack it down until you don't like the lossines.

Also google up Tmpeg encoder , or Tsunami mpeg , they have a free version, mpeg1 is your best bet there , although a wmv file will get smaller while still looking better.
