In the long term, we're ALL dead, anyway.

Israel will need to be on top of its game to survive another 20 years.

Now you sound like a Taggart Trains board member. grin

Seriously though, peace talks. They're your friend.

Peace talks are a tool/means, nothing more.  If they are used to stiff arm / delay action by civilized nations so as to allow the savages to rearm/regroup/refresh, they are NOT your friend.

The thing is, you gotta be wise enough to figure out which is the real deal and which is bullsh!t.

Barring new data and going on past performance, the default assumption of "bullsh!t" for Israel's neighbors/enemies is sound.  Anybody have new data that might have an effect on such a determination?

The question is not whether they are trustworthye. The question is, can we work out a deal which will allow us to back out/stop if they  show themselves to be untrustworthy. Some actions can benefit Israel even if the other side does not honor its side of the deal, as the pullout from Gaza did.
