Dem's October Surprise? Obama to drop Biden?
« on: September 27, 2008, 08:13:51 AM »
This came via e-mail and I cannot vouch for the source.  Sounds flaky to me, but stranger things have happened and Obama has shown he is able to stoop very low, IMHO.  Tried to Snopes this thing, but no luck.

Quote
Sen. Linda Gray sent this one ... so I guess she knows something, but this is ... wow ... could they really be planning this?

Let me share some info with you that I have gotten from excellent sources within the DNC:

On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.

There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info. generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the "health problem" cited in those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same rumblings.

However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

So, let's start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the pass - send this info out to as many people as you can - post about it on websites and blogs - etc. etc.

If such a stunt by Obama/Biden/Clinton were to happen, would it be effective? Or would it be seen by the masses for what it is/was?

Interesting that there is a bunch of speculation about both parties dumping thier Veep choices.  Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.

I believe Obama will accept an offer to be McCain's VP.  They will handily defeat the Palin/Biden ticket.

Actually, if there's ANY chance of this happening, it would be a pretty sharp move by Palin to say, during the VP debate "Joe, I'm really glad you're here . . . there was a lot of nonsense on the Internet saying that you were going to drop out and use ill health as an excuse, just so Obama could put Hillary on the ticket, but nobody would seriously think either you or Obama would be so sneaky and underhanded. Good for you, Joe!"

If there's an October surprise it is more likely to come from the other direction...

If Israel sees Obama as the probable winner, what's to stop them from going at Iran?

If O'Bama wins in November Israel has nothing to lose and everything to gain by acting before inauguration date.  Nothing will be done about Iran after O'Bama ascends the throne.

Of course something would be done. He'd go and talk with Imajihad, shake his hand and grin, and further legitimize that clown.

The October surprise will involve Isreal.  Iran is preparing for war.

Don't ever think that when to start a war is not a political choice.  Iran needs to be spanked.  Where it goes from there, will be up to Iran.

It could be Iran.

It could be Russia.

I don't like the idea of "not standing for nonsense from the media".  Wasn't he the one who commented that Bush should shut down the media guys who were dumping on him?  I guess you can add "not standing for any of that Bill of Rights nonsense" also.

About the only power the President has over specific agents of the media is the ability to yank their White House press passes and remove them from the media section of Air Force One. And fire anyone in the Executive Branch who talks to the ones he doesn't like.

And that's as it should be.
