That looked to be more of a style thing to me.  Some video types seem to go for that look.  Don't know why.

Maybe...

It would be fairly easy to take a rant, edit out the right parts and make it seem to be something it isn't.

That video jumps around so much that that was exactly my take on the situation. But as another poster has stated that's a style that may be in vogue though why it would be is beyond my understanding.
