Well if you haven't been shooting lately I suppose it's OK to cut back on computer time. But I will resent losing you to the TV!

But do hurry back, you are worth talking too.

Look, if you're going to be out in the real world, can you do us all a favor?

Try to find out which is better: 9mm or .45.

AB, I'm afraid that would end up just the same as all of our "debates" on the forum.  I.e.; I already prefer the .45, and all of the evidence will somehow end up supporting this.  Smiley

griz, you won't lose me to the TV, because here I can talk back.  I'm one of those people for whom video is NOT a passive medium.  I can't help but critique everything I see.

Why do I suddenly think watching a porno with fistful would be humorous?

You thought I couldn't do it.  You said you'd see me tomorrow.

YOU WERE WRONG

It did help that my internet connection was down for about a month, and I didn't feel like correcting the problem.

HR, you are cruel!  Anyway, I'm not back.  I just posted again to gloat that I had indeed gotten this monkey off my back.  Some expressed doubts about my resolve.  Fools!

LOL!!! And thank you for the kind words, sir!

And, if you're just gloating, why are you still gloating? Remember, the first step in fixing a problem is admitting you HAVE a problem!

me: "Hi... I'm Hunter Rose, and I'mm addicted to TFL and it's derivitives"

chorus: "HI HUNTER ROSE!"

For them to let you out so soon, you either must've used one of those hard drive cleansers, or gotten a southern california jury.  Wink

Starting "goodbye" threads, could mean you are one of these

Fistful, it seems you have fallen off'n the wagon.  Nothing to gloat about.  You need to contact yer sponsor ASAP.
If I remember correctly your sponsor is sm, no?  Tongue

sponsor?  I'm lost.

MasterpieceArms.com, I can see why this thread might look like that.  Why should I think anyone will notice I'm gone?  Actually, when I left I was in the middle of defending ideas and institutions in which I believe.  Some of their challenges were substantive and therefore needed to be answered to the best of my ability; others were foolish and required slapping down.  I wanted my philosophical opponents to understand that I was retiring from the field for practical concerns, not because their arguments were winning.  A matter of honor for me as well.  Is that narcissistic?

He wanted us to think he needed a break when he retreated. 'Sok though... we still like ya, fistful! Tongue

> A matter of honor for me as well.  Is that narcissistic?<

Hojnestly, I wouldn't call it narcissistic. Especially given how some on these forums will declare "victory" at the drop of a hat...
