Lowest price is still $1.74, but surrounding and overall prices continue to drop.

There is now only a 18 cent difference where I live in Greenwood, to what is it in Brownsburg.

I paid $2.41 in Sacramento, 4 days ago.  Diesel is actually below $3 for the first time in a long time.

Think how low it could drop if popularly-elected President gets chummy with Chavez.

My apologies, Mike.  I guess I should be happy, as the entire nation will know what it is like to live in California.

It's finally at 1.99 here in the St. Louis region.  The day after Obama was elected.  Shucks, by the time he wields the orb and scepter this January 20th, it should be free.

That's just the thing, the "other non-tax fixed costs built into the price" do account for the difference.
So it costs 30 cents a gallon more to sell the same brand of gas on one side of the same town than it does on the other side of the same town?

You just keep believing that if you want to.  ;/

It's not cost, it's setting price according to market pressures.  Why should gas be any different than any other product?

Gasoline on the west side of Indianapolis, updated to reflect $1.64/gallon.

Gas on the South side, my neighborhood, is $1.76/gallon.

Ouch.

But, you mean that YOU actually earned the money with which you paid the fuel bill?

Wow, that's a novel approach for you...
