new Obama articles
« on: November 01, 2008, 04:03:55 PM »
This article appeared on the BBC's website earlier today.  I dont know if any of you have seen it, but it really requires a wider audience:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7700913.stm

But not as wide an audience as this frankly superb Victor David Hanson piece from NRO:

On the death of American journalism:

I don't listen to Hannity that often, but I have heard him repeating for months that journalism died in 2008.  This may be the one time in his life that he has put forth an original thought.  And been quite correct.

Hannity has actually been a strong voice of reason lately, since he's one of the few who didn't drink the Obama kool-aid, and has been urging people to step back and LOOK hard at who he is.

He's also been warning against socialism, why it will go wrong and why it won't help anyone. He seemed upset about what the Obamites tried to do to Joe for asking the wrong question, and had Joe on the show. It seems his reporting as of late is less self-aggrandizing, and more being an actually concerned journalist who sees where this is going.

Hannity isn't a journalist; he is a "political analyst" or "pundit."
While I agree with many of his ideas, in general I find he's a rather grating personality.  I find Rush far more entertaining.  Even Boortz is usually more entertaining.

And yes, the "Main Stream Media" is unusually biased this cycle.  Though I don't care for Hannity I think he's right; real journalism is dead.

Word.  As radio talkers go, Rush is the real deal.

We note with satisfaction that the mildly conservative, arrogant jerk O'Reilly is soon to give up the radio biz.

The only conservative radio sort I can't listen to is Mark Levin. The enraged SCREAMING is a bit...grating.
