Heart attacks, typically occur more frequently on Mondays.
When clocks are set back in the fall season, heart attacks that following Monday drop 6%.
Likewise, clocks moved forward in the spring, heart attacks the following Monday increase 6%.
Traffic crashes and fatalities significantly drop, due to the extra hour of light that one has to drive home in the afternoon hours.
While moving one's clock may seem inconvenient to many of us, the inception has been around much longer than legislated in 1918.
Benjamin Franklin is generally credited for the modern concept of DST, but the Romans adjusted their water clocks in the summertime to account for the extra hour of daylight.
